Send Webflow Form Submissions to LeadCentre

Webflow can post every form submission to your LeadCentre webhook URL from its own servers. Your form and its thank-you message carry on as they are, nothing goes in your page's code, and each enquiry becomes a lead you can call from your phone.

Via Webhook: The platform posts each lead to your LeadCentre webhook URL.

What This Does

This works by a Webflow webhook. When a visitor submits a form on your published site, Webflow sends the submission to LeadCentre as JSON. LeadCentre applies your field matching and creates a lead. No custom code or embed is needed.

Two places to add the webhook

  • Site settings sends every form on the site through one webhook. It suits a site with one form, or several that use the same field names. Go to Site settings, then Apps & integrations, then Webhooks.
  • The form's own Settings panel has a Send to option with a Webhook choice. It covers just that form, so each form can have its own key, matching and lead source. Webflow's forms guide covers it.

Avoid pasting your LeadCentre URL into the form's Action field. That publishes your key in the page source and sends visitors to a page of raw JSON.

What Webflow sends

Your answers are nested inside payload.data, under the field names you set in the Designer. A shortened example, based on Webflow's documentation:

{
  "triggerType": "form_submission",
  "payload": {
    "name": "Contact Us",
    "data": {
      "Name": "Sam Lee",
      "Email": "[email protected]",
      "Phone": "07700900123"
    },
    "submittedAt": "2026-11-04T10:30:00.000Z",
    "id": "6321ca84df3949bfc6752327"
  }
}

LeadCentre flattens this into names like payload.data.Email and payload.submittedAt. Webflow also sends payload.schema, which describes each input and gives you several rows like payload.schema.0.fieldName. You can set all of those to Do not use.

One trap: payload.name is your form's name

payload.name holds the name of the form, such as Contact Us. It doesn't hold the visitor's name. Smart Match sees the word name and may suggest Full name for it, which would leave payload.data.Name unmatched and label every lead Contact Us. Always change this one. Lead source is a good home for it, as you can then see which form each lead came from.

If LeadCentre can't accept a post

Webflow only counts an HTTP 200 as delivered. Anything else is retried up to three more times, 10 minutes apart. If failures keep happening, Webflow deactivates the webhook and emails you. So a replaced URL or revoked key needs updating in Webflow promptly.

Useful For

  • Webflow site owners whose enquiries currently sit in a notification email until someone checks
  • Freelance Webflow designers handing over a site where enquiries need to reach the client's phone
  • Agencies running landing pages on Webflow, with leads going into each client's own LeadCentre account
  • Anyone with a contact form and a quote form who wants to see which one a lead came from

How Leads Flow Into LeadCentre

  1. Step 1

    A visitor submits your form

    On your published Webflow site. They see your normal success message.

  2. Step 2

    Webflow posts the submission

    Its servers send JSON to your LeadCentre webhook URL. Nothing is added to your page.

  3. Step 3

    LeadCentre matches the fields

    payload.data.Email goes to Email, and so on, following the matching you saved.

  4. Step 4

    The lead lands and you're alerted

    A push notification goes to the app, and the lead joins your pipeline as New.

How to Set It Up

  1. 1

    Create a key

    In LeadCentre, go to Settings > Connections. Under "Add another key", type a name such as Webflow and press "Create". Press "Copy" and keep the URL safe, as it's only shown once. If you run one webhook per form, make one key per form and name it after the form.

  2. 2

    Start listening

    Follow "Next: test and match fields" and press "Listen for test data". Listening lasts 15 minutes, and the page updates itself while it's on.

  3. 3

    Add the webhook in Webflow

    For the whole site, go to Site settings, then Apps & integrations, then Webhooks, and press Add webhook. Choose Form submission as the trigger and paste your URL. For one form, select it in the Designer, open the Settings panel, press add next to Send to, choose Webhook, paste the URL and save. Webflow then shows a Secret key once. LeadCentre doesn't use it, but keep it if you might ever need it, then press Hide key forever. Check Webflow's guide if the labels have moved.

  4. 4

    Publish and submit a test

    Publish the site, because draft changes don't trigger webhooks. Then submit the form on the published site with every field filled in. Empty fields aren't shown on the matching screen, so a half-filled test gives you a half-finished list. The fields appear under "2. Match the fields" a few seconds later.

  5. 5

    Match the fields, and fix payload.name

    Set payload.name to Lead source or Do not use, then match payload.data.Name to Full name yourself. Check the rest: Smart Match usually gets your email and phone fields right. Keep payload.id on Unique ID and payload.submittedAt on Date received. Set triggerType, payload.siteId, payload.formId, payload.formElementId and the payload.schema rows to Do not use.

  6. 6

    Save, stop listening and check

    Press "Save field matching", then "Stop listening". While listening is on, a real enquiry counts as test data and won't become a lead. Submit the form once more and check the lead in your Leads list shows the right name, email and phone. Archive it when you're happy.

Supported Fields

The part after payload.data. is the field name you set in the Designer, so yours may differ. Your field names become the names you match, which means renaming a field in Webflow later creates a new row to match.

Common Problems

My test submission isn't showing in LeadCentre

Check the site is published and you used the published form, not the Designer preview. Check listening is on, as it stops after 15 minutes, and that you have the right key's page open. A form with a custom Action URL doesn't go through Webflow's form handling, so its webhook won't fire.

Every lead is named after my form

payload.name has been matched to Full name. Open the key, press "Edit field matching", change payload.name to Lead source or Do not use, match payload.data.Name to Full name and save. This fixes new leads, so correct the existing ones by hand.

A lead shows "Waiting for field matching"

It was sent before anything was matched on that key, so it's held rather than lost. Match the fields and press "Save field matching". The banner tells you how many waiting leads were added.

I renamed a field in Webflow and its data stopped appearing

The name in LeadCentre comes from the field name, so renaming it creates a new one. The key's card shows a notice about new fields to match. Open it, match the new name and save. If the missing field was the only contact detail, those posts show as "No name, phone or email" and saving retries them.

Webflow emailed to say my webhook was deactivated

It had repeated failed deliveries, usually because the URL was replaced or the key revoked, as both answer 401. Webflow's guide says to contact its support to reactivate a webhook. Adding a new webhook with your current URL is also worth trying. Check the fix with a test submission.

I'm getting two leads for each submission

You probably have a site-level webhook and a form-level one running together. Keep one and remove the other.

I lost the webhook URL

It's shown once, and LeadCentre only keeps a scrambled copy, so it can't be looked up. Open the key and press "Replace this URL", or "Get a URL to copy" if it has never been used. Then update the webhook in Webflow straight away. Your field matching stays.

I need to rotate the key

Press "Replace this URL" with Webflow open, as the old URL stops working at once. Update or re-add the webhook with the new URL, then send a test submission. Check Webflow's form submissions for anything sent in the gap, as those posts were refused and may never reach LeadCentre.

Questions About This Connection

Do I need a paid Webflow plan?

Webflow's developer documentation doesn't list a plan requirement for webhooks. Its free Starter site plan does have a low lifetime cap on form submissions, so check the limits on Webflow's pricing page before you rely on it.

Does LeadCentre need Webflow's secret key?

No. Webflow's secret signs its messages so a receiver can check them, and LeadCentre doesn't check those signatures. LeadCentre relies on the key in your URL, so treat that URL like a password.

Do file upload fields work?

LeadCentre doesn't store files. Webflow's webhook is JSON, so a file field arrives as data, and if it includes a link you can keep that in a custom field. Check what yours sends during your test, and note that file upload fields depend on your Webflow plan.

What about spam?

LeadCentre doesn't filter spam, so anything Webflow passes on becomes a lead. Keep Webflow's spam protection switched on, which you'll find under Site settings, then Apps & integrations.

I exported my Webflow site and host it elsewhere. Does this still work?

No. Webflow's webhooks rely on Webflow handling the form. An exported site needs its own way of sending forms, so follow the website forms guide instead.
